OFFIS Objectives for Odette


Experiences of OFFIS

• Long and varied experiences in object-oriented hardware modelling, simulation and synthesis (projects like REQUEST, SQUASH, OO-COM and OOCOSIM)
• Object-oriented extension of the hardware description language VHDL (Objective VHDL)
• Synthesis techniques based on Objective VHDL
• Translator prototype, which converts a subset of this object-oriented language extension in (synthesisable) Standard-VHDL
• Development of Objective VHDL synthesizability rules
• Analysis and specification of communication mechanisms for object-oriented hardware design
• Object-oriented co-simulation of embedded control systems
